Our Cheirinho mug gives a little wink to the Portuguese café com cheirinho, an espresso served with a little alcoholic digestive. Our design is inspired by the purpose of a mug, caneca, on the Portuguese dinner table. As it is often used to serve red wine, our Cheirinho Mug represents a simplified wine bottle-shaped pattern.

The region of Barcelos, in the North of Portugal, is known for its deep relationship with artisanal potteries. The terracotta clay is obtained locally and is shaped into traditional ceramics by hand on the potter’s wheels. Finally, each piece is painted by hand with pigments. We celebrate every step of the process, and each detail makes your pieces unique.
